Member -  A user who has accepted the rules and is here in good faith. They can partake in all public discourse, but do not yet have access to the Jedi Temple  (Initiate+ Area)

  • Can participate in all public discourse on Discord & Forum.
  • Can access open channels (General, Off-Topic, and certain discussion areas).
  • Can view the Jedi Archives (lore and resources).

How To Rank Up: 

1. Accept the Jedi Code.
2. Work with a Knight to set goals for yourself & your community. These goals should be posted in the "Personal Journey" room on Discord.

Initiate -  Accepted the Jedi Code & Begun their training. After a period of 30 days, and a brief interview & review from a council-member, they may vote, and are given permission to become a Padawan after being selected by a Knight+.  

  • Can enter The Jedi Temple (private, more serious discussion areas).
  • Can request Guidance from Jedi Knights & Masters.
  • Can start submitting votes after 30 days and a brief council interview.
  • Gains access to The Meditation Chamber and Training Grounds.


How To Rank Up:  
1. Attend a minimum number of community gatherings (basically just participate).
2. Submit a brief personal reflection paper (or brief interview/video/audio).
3. Be sponsored by a Knight+ for promotion.

Padawan -  A user who has passed their Initiation and has been assigned a Mentor. The Padawan will be assigned appropriate challenges by their Mentor - these tasks are generally related to the health and wellbeing of our members, and of TJW as a whole. Upon successful review & interview by the Jedi Council, a Padawan receives permission to undertake their Jedi trials which are unique to each Padawan. A member must hold the rank of Padawan for 75 days minimum before they are eligible for Jedi Knight unless they have special permission from the Council.  

  • Can be assigned a Mentor (Jedi Knight or Master).
  • Gains access to Jedi Missions & Community Tasks (help moderate, guide discussions, assist members).
  • Can contribute to the well-being of the community (helping members/initiates, writing guides, assisting in training under Jedi Knight supervision).
  • Can assist in moderating lower ranks.


How To Rank Up:  
1. Demonstrate growth - share progress on meditation, emotional mastery, or service to others as reported in your "personal journey" thread.  
2. Complete 2–3 community tasks (host a reflection group, write a blog, assist a newer member)
3.  Receive endorsements from 2+ Knights or Masters

Jedi Knight -  A Jedi Knight is a fully recognized and trusted member of the Order who has successfully completed their training and passed their Jedi Trials. Having demonstrated discipline, wisdom, and commitment to the well-being of both the Order and its members, a Jedi Knight is now entrusted with greater responsibilities and the ability to guide others.  

  • Can take on a Padawan (start mentoring).
  • Can help review & interview Initiates/Padawans for ranking up.
  • Can serve on the Jedi Council (decision-makers).
  • Can create Jedi training programs (discussion topics, mentorship projects).
  • Can Choose a Specialty Path:


 -Jedi Sage (Scholars, Debate Leaders, Philosophers - deep focus on meditation and running classes.)  


-Jedi Guardian (Moderation, Server Protection, Conflict Mediation - deep focus on diplomacy, working to resolve issues, liaisons with other orders) 


-Jedi Sentinel (Investigators, Intelligence Gathering, Problem Solvers - deep focus on identifying issues that arise inside & outside the order and brainstorming solutions.)

How To Rank Up:
1.  Sustain high-quality engagement over 12+ months.
2.  Create a meaningful resource or host a recurring event for the community.
3.  Be nominated by peers and approved by council
4.  Mentorship of at least one Padawan into Knighthood.

Jedi Master - A Jedi Master is a seasoned and highly respected member of the Order, having demonstrated exceptional wisdom, leadership, and commitment to the well-being of the community. Masters are not just individuals with knowledge - they are mentors, guides, and decision-makers who help shape the future of the Order. A Jedi Master has consistently added to The Jedi Way's body of learning material, taught several Padawan learners, or has contributed to The Jedi Way's growth in some other relevant way.  A Jedi Master has been with The Jedi Way for at least one year minimum.  

  • Can serve on the Jedi Council (decision-makers).
  • May create Jedi Teachings, guides, and resources.
  • Can instruct multiple Padawan.
  • Can create & approve Jedi Trials for Padawans seeking Knighthood.
